A C Jackson has completed a play barn at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm.
Built on the site of the current Ice Cream Farm, the state-of-the-art building was delivered on time and on budget by a team of dedicated contractors with A C Jackson providing the complex steel frame, insulated cladding and access doors.
There was an existing steel framed building on site which was 26.50m long x 13.50m wide, we completely refurbished this structure and added additional structural steel work to bring it up to structural requirements, in addition to this we fabricated and erected a new building to increase the overall length to 55.00m. This was designed and fabricated to BS5950 industrial specification and consisted of cold rolled purlins, eaves beams and side rails.
The roof consisted of a 0.7mm plastisol coated box profile anti-condensation sheet.
The external walls were clad using a Scandinavian Red Wood Ship Lap Board.
